Township begins planning and coordinating event
Plans for Cranbury Day, a communitywide event slated for Sept. 9, are starting to shape up.
The Cranbury Business and Professionals Association and other organizers of the annual event, which celebrates the community and its history, met on Tuesday to get an idea of what local vendors and organizations will bring to Main Street this year.
The days leading up to the event are quickly passing by and Joanne Meehan, the president of the Business Association, said there is still work to be done.
"We still have to finalize some sponsorships," Ms. Meehan said Wednesday.
On the day of the event, which runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Main Street will be closed off and limited to pedestrian traffic between Westminster Street and Scott Avenue.
Live music, food and entertainment will be provided all over town from the parking lot near Town Hall and the side of PNC Bank, to the First Presbyterian Church of Cranbury and the Cranbury Museum.
