You continue to cost the town money every time you do this. I hope you are caught and made to scrub any sign in the county that is dirty !

Ummmm Just the opposite. I find anything and everything posted here to be true and relevant. This is the "Voice of Cranbury". I cancelled my subscription to that rag of a newspaper the Cranbury Press once I found this site. I love how they force some college intern of a reporter to find something interesting to write about. There is different things they could write about if they just gave it some effort. The paper carries the Cranbury name but they would rather report on the other towns around us than step foot into Cranbury. hmmmmmm

The problem with the Cranbury Press is the managing editor. He thinks of it as his personal vehicle to pursue his particular views and politics, which usually don't even have anything to do with Cranbury but when they do often are contrary to what anyone who actually lives here would feel and to the existence of the town in general (he has repeatedly made the official editorial of the paper support consolidation of small towns and schools into bigger ones). Not surprisingly he doesn’t live in Cranbury but instead our larger neighbor (and a candidate should we ever be forced to consolidate) South Brunswick, so he is serving his own self interest and not the towns. A real journalist would recues himself from such conflict of interest and a real editor would make sure the paper reflects the community it serves. He has no interest in either because, seemingly, his whole reason for doing the job is to have an outlet for his personal views which he apparently hasn’t convinced any larger paper to accept.

Not that I disagree with your overall point about the cost of vandalism, but technically doesn't it cost the county money since it is their road and their signs and they are the ones who put them up?

True, but we pay for it in the end... part of our state taxes go to the county.

Either way it costs the taxpayers money. I bet replacing these signs is not cheap. The cost of the sign and the cost of the worker to do the labor plus wear and tear on the vehicle and gas.

I agree. Hank is the problem. The rest of the paper does a nice job. The photos and stories are well done and there is never a delivery problem. I'll bet they would double their readers if they advocated for Cranbury instead of advocating for Cranbury's destruction. Until then, I refuse to subscribe.

Folks,

Vandalism is not right, even if it is "free," which of cause is not. Let's don't use money to justify whether one should do it or not.

This week Hank was replaced and there is a new managing editor. Maria who does a very good job with limited support and resources will still be the reporter. Upon hearing this news I actually re-subscribed to the paper. If the paper goes away as seems to be the case with their staff cuts, then Cranbury will have no news. And no, I do not consider this site news.

I wonder if any of the reporters know where Cranbury is.

I have to laugh every Friday when I peruse the online Cranbury press. It is never updated to the current paper until many hours after the South Brunswick or East Windsor/Hightstown papers are posted online.
Each week it is the same thing, all the other packet pub. papers are new except the Cranbury Press. It just shows how much they care about Cranbury. Online is the only way I will look at this high school paper, I will not pay a penny for it.
