Just curious if anyone has heard of the development plans for the corner of Main and Old Trenton Road.

It's described in the Township newsletter:

http://www.cranburytownship.org/newsletters/2nd-Quarter-2015-Newsletter.pdf

In December, the owners of the “Hagerty, Cheney, Kushner” pr
operty approached the Township andasked if we could work with them to classify the properties in need of redevelopment.

Our Planning Board Engineer and Planner conducted a detailed analysis of the properties and found they met the necessary requirements to classify the properties an area in need.

Following the approval the next step is for a join t subcommittee between the Planning Board and Township Committee to partner with the developer and hold public meetings as to the development of the site. A site plan that meets the character of
the area will then be developed and presented to our
residents.

Having our Planning Board work with the developer ensures minimal impact to the school and that the development is in line with the rest of the village. The broader benefit is that by developing the properties we remove them from being subject to a
potential Builder’s Remedy lawsuit that could result in higher density housing which would strain our schools and increase our taxes.

This should be interesting. I've heard of expensive townhouses and a sizeable amount of retail space.
