Toll Brothers revenue down 22%, CEO says buyers are 'hiding'

Toll Brothers Inc. saw its fiscal first-quarter home-building revenue drop by 22 percent, and said it doesn't see a rebound in the housing market in the near future.

The Horsham, Pa., high-end home builder also said in preliminary quarterly results it estimates taking between $150 million and $300 million in pre-tax writeoffs .
