As was reported the other day a bear has been sighted in the area. The most recent sighting was yesterday Thursday, June, 19 at approximately 5:30 pm on Rt. 130. The black bear was seen crossing the roadway on the boarder of Cranbury and South Brunswick and then heading into the woods.
If you have questions about encountering a black bear then I recommend you visit the link below from the New Jersey Division of Fish & Wildlife:

From the township..
A bear cub was spotted on North Main Street. The bear was eating from a bird feeder when he ran from our local animal control officer. Residents are urged not to confront the bear and to remove bird feeders, dog food and other food items from their yards.
Children should be warned not to make contact with the bear. State authorities have been notified. |

Plainsboro took it seriously enough that they had an automated system call all residents over the weekend to alert them and ask them to exercise caution outside and not leave any trash, etc. out. |
