Survey says patrons want more space, new facility
Cranbury residents love their library.
However, the majority of those who participated in a Cranbury Public Library survey in mid-October would like more space for programming and books. A number of residents also said they would like to see the library become its own separate facility.
The library is located in the Cranbury School, and doubles during the week as the school's library. Though the library board and township are not considering moving the facility, Public Library Director Howard Zogott said they are working hard to add more books and programs with the space available to them now.
The library paid $2,700 to have Zogby International conduct the phone survey, which Mr. Zogott said is the first part of a long-term planning process for the library. According to a press release sent out by the library, 251 residents participated in the 25-question survey.
