Even though Tom Witt has retired and the new township administrator, Christine Smeltzer, will not start until mid-August, Committeeman Richard Stannard said it will be business as usual in Town Hall for the next two and half months.
That's because the township has hired Jack Coughlin of Government Management Advisors, a company out of East Brunswick, at $125 an hour to fill in part time until Ms. Smeltzer can take the reins.
Mr. Stannard said Mr. Coughlin, who started May 21, has worked as township administrator for other townships and has filled in during management gaps for approximately five other townships.
