PLAINSBORO ROAD RESTORATION WORK UNDERWAY FROM APRIL 21 - 27

Roadway restoration work related to the NJ American Water transmission line in and along Plainsboro Road is underway. The Cranbury Police will be coordinating traffic control.

The road will be swept before tack oil applied. The areas with the water main installed in the grass shoulder will be restored by the landscape subcontractor after the milling/paving of Plainsboro Road. Small areas along the paved shoulder which have been damaged by installation of the main in the shoulder will be restored. Gravel within the areas of lawn restoration will be removed.

The pavement will not be without a surface course for more than one day. Police will be on-site for traffic control for a one-lane closure, similar to the traffic control for the previous pipe installation. Two crews are scheduled for Wednesday, 4-22-09, for both paving and milling in Cranbury. The entire milling and paving road restoration within Cranbury will take between 3-4 days, weather pending. The landscape subcontractor will follow the restoration work by American Paving. The striper subcontractor will be scheduled to stripe the new roadway immediately following the last day of paving.
