Petty Road has been in terrible condition for years . In the past couple weeks public works has made an attempt to smooth out the giant ruts caused by the no shoulder condition and the failure to drain condition. The QP quarry process material used in the recent repairs has in just a few days started to go all over the road. It was not the correct material to use and it will be all over the road in no time. That was a huge waste of man hours and material. We should give it a month and it will need to be swept off the roads as a hazard and off the lawns as debris. How about this time designing a road that is wide enough for two vehicles to pass and a drainage system that is designed not to flood out the residents on the north side of the road? The road needs a real engineer to design and oversee the rebuild of the road and its drainage. The last time it was done it was designed as a cow path and there was no oversight but everbody did get paid. |

I agree the road is in bad shape but I want to commend public works for at least making an attempt to repair along the road. I went out yesterday and swept the rocks off the road in front of my house. I figure it was worth the few minutes that it took to sweep off the rocks, at least now I don't have a large rut in front of my house for now and no water lays there for now. So again I say THANK YOU public works for at least showing that you care about residents on Petty Rd. |
