Can anyone recommend a good butcher? I need to order half a leg of lamb for a recipe I want to try and am having a hard time finding a goodm local butcher. Any recommendations are welcomed!

Thanks!

McCaffrey's can order or cut anything you like. I have used them many times for odd cuts or requests.

on Friday/Sat you can get great cuts at the Amish Princeton Market

Try the pulled pork and pickles, yum yum yum

McCaffrey's nope.

For real fresh meat and a good butcher, try the home-made Hungarian meat products at this deli in New Brunswick

YES the Amish market is great too in Princeton on RT27.

Friends told me about a polish butcher in Trenton near the church but I haven't been able to locate it.

Has anyone found a great Italian butcher or takeout with fresh mozz, prosciutto and bread, etc. I miss Lisa's Deli that was down the street from me in Hoboken. There's not a lot of good takeout places near here to speak of. Maybe I'll spend some time in chambersburg and just experiment and visit some places.

Thanks for all your suggestions! Believe it or not, I was able to order what I needed from Superfresh. Next time, I'll try your suggestions, though.

As far as Italian deli/specialty shop, Dolce & Clemente in Robbinsville Town Center is pretty good. Also, for real, authentic Brooklyn-Italian specialties, there's a Top Tomato store about a half hour away in Manalapan. You should be able to Google either to get more info about specific locations.
