WEST WINDSOR - Do you want your taxes to go up, or your home value to stay down?

That was the choice presented to a group of homeowners last night in a resolution aimed at capping a two-year battle over affordable-housing controls at a Bear Brook Road development.

I have a better example right here in Cranbury.

Nothing is better then my yard needing work and my not having the money to be able to mulch it like I want to or buy some new bushes like I want to and having to come home and cut my own lawn after busting my butt at work all day.

To then drive by one of our affordable housing developments and see a landscaping crew out mulching, cutting grass, putting in a new tree and some bushes and then knowing I am subsidizing it all and knowing the people that live their do not pay any taxes.

Its how its all supposed to work right? We work hard, pay taxes and others leach off of us.

Affordable housing should be used to house public servants. Those who fill a public need, but, who don't make much $$$$$$.
I'm thinking of police, firefighters, EMTs, teachers, librarians etc.................you get the idea.
I can't see the idea of housing warehouse workers who have to commute to their $10. per hour jobs, and who work for cheapskates who want the public to subsidize their workers rather than them paying them a decent, living wage so that the workers can live anywhere that they can afford to live.
I am NOT against public housing. But, since I'm paying for it, why I can't I have a say as to who should or shouldn't be living there?
Those houses over by Bennett Place had some guy with a pit bull.
He would walk it around and let it poop on the sidewalk!!!!!!!
How did this winner get in there?????????????
