Did anyone notice the speed sensors the county put out on 3/6/11? I wonder what the average speed is? I would think between 45 and 50.

My experience is between 40 and 45. There is a higher risk of being caught if your speed is 10mph or more than the posted limit.

It seems one cannot drive fast enough on Old Trenton. Eight out of ten times I get on that road, I end up with some jerk behind me riding my bumper. Even if I am going 40 driving past the 35 MPH sign, people seem oblivious, and often angry, you are only going 5 MPH over the posted limit and tailgate you until you get out of their way.

Yep, you will see a train of cars behind if the head car is driving near 35mph.

They need to raise it up to at least 45.

No one asked for 35 and I suspect they will raise it to 40 just like the road on either side of this section eventually which is what people asked for. If you don't like it, I suggest Princeton-Hightstown Road which has a higher speed.

And you probably cheat on your taxes too and break a lot of other laws. There are plenty like you that feel they can ignore any law they don't like, though its interesting that so often such people are quick to judge others who break laws they do agree with. Whateber, that's life. Just don't expect any sympathy if you ever get caught. Odds are in your favor. You just have to lack any ethics and your good to go.

No I don't cheat on my taxes, I just don't follow illegal laws which will not hold up in court since Old Trenton Rd falls under NJ 50mph road speed not 35.

Justify all you want. The tax cheats claim they aren't paying because the taxes are illegal too. This is no different. It county has the right to change it and followed all the laws. Besides when did you become the judge?

If you attend the TC meetings you'd see Old Trenton is one of the top summons areas. As such, I would assume Plainsboro would love to see you speeding there since the tickets are issued and the limit is enforced at 35.

I guess most people don't know the rules governing speed limits in NJ. I might have to donate some time for those at court in Plainsboro.

What do you plan to do, defending their speeding tickets?
