I agree that boomers cashing out may not cause the stock market to crash, because as long as the US and rest of thw world are doing well, there will be enough cash to sustain the market.
The big concern, as the article pointed out, is the fiscal budget deficit of the US govement. If the deficit is too much, then US bond holders may bail out and inflation may go up a lot to cause the market to crash. Let's just hope that our govement is smart enough to prevent that from happening. |
