Hi,

Please note the update from the New Jersey Office of Emergency Management regarding the extension of time to register for Irene related damage. Hopefully it helps.

FEMA has extended the dealine for individuals to register for Irene-related damage. New deadline November 30th. If you are trying to decide whether you might be eligible, or are "on the fence" about it, it's better to teleregister. Here's why: if you find uninsured long-term damage later (e.g., mold, foundation), you can call and update the claim, even if you were denied assistance earlier. But if you don't teleregister, once the deadline passes, it's too late. Every registration is considered individually. Homeowners and renters are eligible to apply. To teleregister: 1.800.621.FEMA (3362) or www.disasterassistance.gov
