Neighbors,

My name is Jennifer Nasta Zefutie. I am a Cranbury resident and Co-Producing Artistic Director of Pegasus Theatre Project―the professional, resident theatre company of the West Windsor Arts Council. Our next production is a witty, sophisticated comedy that makes for a great evening out close to home. In addition to the production, we also have some special events planned to complement the show. Details for the production are below. I look forward to seeing some of you there!

WINNER of the 1998 Drama Desk Award and Tony Award for Best Play!

“A remarkably wise, witty and intelligent comedy . . . has touched a universal nerve.” ―The Times

“Chic, short, and wickedly, perceptively funny, it's the perfect...play.” ―Nick Curtis, Evening Standard

“It's a nonstop cross-fire of crackling language, serious issues of life and art expressed in outbursts that sound like Don Rickles with a degree from the Sorbonne. Art takes that yawny old bore, the play of ideas, and jolts it to life.” ―Jack Kroll, Newsweek

Pegasus Theatre Project presents Yasmina Reza’s award-winning comedy, ‘ART’, March 31-April 9, 2017, at the West Windsor Arts Center. ‘ART’ is a timeless comedy about three friends whose friendship is thrown into chaos when one of them buys a modern painting that another considers a joke, while the third is caught in the middle trying to keep the peace. By exploring questions about what is art and what one’s taste in art says about the person, the friends come to address deeper issues that have been challenging their relationship. Will they be able to resolve their differences, or have they grown too far apart?

In addition to the performance, please consider joining us for one of the special events planned to complement the show:

Friday, March 31, 2017: Opening Night Reception. Enjoy some wine and light hors d'oeuvres while mingling and discussing the play with fellow audience members, actors, and production team.

Saturday, April 1, 2017: Pre-Show Cocktail Party. Join us before the show at 6:30pm for some wine and hot hors d'oeuvres. This is a great opportunity to browse the West Windsor Arts Council Members Art Show on exhibit in the Performance Gallery before the show.

Saturday, April 8, 2017: Talk-back Session. Join us for a post-performance talk-back session with the cast, production team, and local contemporary artist Micheal Madigan. We'll discuss what contemporary art is and answer any questions you have about the show, production process, and art in general.

‘ART’ is written by Yasmina Reza, with translation by Christopher Hampton and direction by Jennifer Nasta Zefutie. It is being presented March 31-April 9, 2017, Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 2pm at the West Windsor Arts Center, 952 Alexander Rd., Princeton Jct., NJ. Tickets are $18-22 and can be purchased online at www.PegasusTheatreNJ.org or by calling 609.759.0045.
