Have you noticed how wonderfully smooth and quiet the pavement is on Highway 130 as you drive north of Cranbury? All those people living in the factories along that stretch of 130 must surely appreciate how quiet it is.
Going south on 130 through Cranbury is a whole different experience. The pavement suddenly becomes concrete with uneven patches every few yards, so truck wheels make an enormous rumble past the houses and apartments that sit not more than 50 feet from the road. Saving Cranbury’s “open spaces” is an undeserved luxury if we don’t first take care of the basic needs of town residents. |

You do know the town does not pace 130, right?
People keep electing the same people at the state and county level and expect something different. The fact is the state and county officials are political animals and there are not enough votes to keep them fed. That is why the county top coats every county road in Monroe right before the freeholders are up for election and in Cranbury nothing happens. |

The constantly rotating Mayoral system in Cranbury does not allow for the Mayor to establish any long term relationships with County and State politicians. |

That isn’t true at all. The TC members all have access to the county and state officials and can speak with them at any time. Do you really think after 9 years Glenn and Dan and no relationship with the county and state officials?
The issue is Cranbury can’t change an election. We have no mass amount of voters. 50k votes in Monroe and 4K in Cranbury. |

The last time we had someone who bucked the rotating mayor tradition we ended up with the extravagant softball park to nowhere. |

We are close now. Ferrante was Deputy Mayor, then Mayor and now is back to Deputy Mayor. First person ever to do have three straight years in a seat.
Meanwhile the trend of rotating Deputy and Mayor across political lines and TC came to an end. As soon as it was Evelyn’s (sol rep) turn the Dems circled the wagons to not let her have a chance. It is a shame because no one is elected based on party in town. You can’t win if independents and members of the other party don’t vote for you. |

That's what happened the last time with the Stout Three, who refused to give the one Republican and one Independent (who had been a Democrat) a turn. Eventually it backfired on them. People got annoyed with the heavy handed politics and they all either lost elections or saw the writing on the wall, bowed out and moved out of town.
All it will make me do is once again vote across party lines, like in the Stout era. If they can't play nice, I'd rather give someone else a chance. |

Is the reconstruction project at the traffic circle holding up the repaving of the rest of Route 130 in Cranbury? |

That project has been in discussion for 30 years. I hope they are not waiting for that to be done. When Dave Cook and Jay were first elected the state and county told them it was in the near completion phase. That was 14-15 years ago. |

Here is a thought. WHY DON'T YOU CALL NJDOT AND ASK THEM THESE QUESTIONS IF YOU ARE SO CONCERNED? |

Why not push the TC? The members are all posting on Facebook and the Cranbury Dems FB page how they attend all the state political events unlike past TC members. If there are at campaign events for Murphy and others why are they not asking about things that matter to the town? Or are they there only for their egos and to say they know these people. |
