Simply not true. Alan Danser was mayor, at that period there was a second Republican mayor. Very reasonable men but the found themselves on the wrong side of land preservation. The ensuing 2or 3 election cycles had a Democratic majority(the Tom Gambino era). The election of Win Cody brought the last Republican majority. Win became Mayor and his extreme tea party behavior caused one of the Republican councilman to become an independent. I repeat, put up reasonable. Non MAGA candidates and you will do well. Put up unstable loons like Win and well, you get what you deserve. |
