Cranbury Township Committee approved plans for a new bank and 150-seat restaurant Monday.
Plans to build a Yardville National Bank and a 150-seat restaurant near the intersection of Route 130 and South River Road are under way, with construction expected to begin sometime this summer.
On Monday, the Township Committee approved a developer's agreement with American Properties of Iselin to build a 6,000-square-foot bank and a 3,799-square-foot restaurant on a 2.2-acre piece of land adjacent to the Residence Inn.
Township Construction Official Greg Farrington said he is waiting for the developer to submit more information before he issues a building permit that will allow construction to begin. According to the site plans approved by the Zoning Board of Adjustment in October, the bank will face Route 130 and will have a three-bay drive-up with access to an ATM. The restaurant will be behind the bank and parallel to South River Road.
