One of the great services they provide is chipping tree branches. That service keeps that debris out of our yards and streets and keeps the town looking well kept. One thing many folks don't understand is the huge problem created for public works that really makes their job twice or three times as hard. That problem is the improper placement of that yard debris. In order for the chipper operators to be safe and operate efficiently the branches need to be placed properly at the street curb. Proper placement means having the branches parallel to the road with the large end of the branch facing the direction of the traffic. By placing the branches in that manner you aid the lifting operation and help to keep the operator safe from kick-backs.
