So there is no money from the Turnpike. <br /> <br /> If a municipal officer writes a Title 39 traffic ticket, the fine is split half-and-half by the municipality and the county. <br /> <br /> Fines for certain traffic offenses, like inspection violations, needed repairs, and outdated inspection stickers, go 100 percent to the state treasury no matter who writes the ticket. <br /> <br /><a href="https://www.nj.com/news/index.ssf/2016/05/where_your_ticket_payment_money_goes_funds_new_jer.html" target="_blank">https://www.nj.com/news/index.ssf/2016/05/where_your_ticket_payment_money_goes_funds_new_jer.html</a> <br /> <br />So if there was an existing court, then potentially it makes sense.
