We pay on a hookup basis not on who owns buildings and there are two parts fixed and usage. So let's use some math. <br /> <br />1) Since there is a fixed cost spread across all sewer users then it should include Municipal buildings as well as if they were normal businesses. Otherwise, we're exempting them and their costs are then rolled into the fixed costs from those on sewer and sewer and non-sewer users pay the usage part of the sewer. So sewer users would therefore pay a higher cost than non-sewer users right off the bat. <br /> <br />2) If the cost of the municipal buildings fixed cost is part of their sewer bill it is then spread out among all residents. According to the discussion at the TC meeting the sewer was offset by businesses coming on line to pay for the connection fees. <br /> <br />I do hope though that school and municipal buildings are paying the fixed rate and that their costs are shared across town.
