You may want to call ahead to confirm availability of pumpkins. The heavy rains have had an impact on this year's crop. Lee Turkey Farm, Stults, Giamarese farm in E Brunswick, Von Thuns off of Rt 130 are all options. You can also look at the NJ Dept of Ag site: http://www.state.nj.us/jerseyfresh/cornmazes.htm#middlesex or try VisitNJFarms (http://www.visitnjfarms.org/) - here you can search for farms by location (for example zip code) and then narrow it down to certain activities that interest you. Several of these local farms also have corn mazes (incl. Etsch farm in Monroe).
Post subject: Pumpkin picking with kids
With Halloween approaching what are the best places to take the kids for pumpkin picking? We have Brent to Stults, Lee's and pumpkin junction. Are there other places people go where you can make a day of it without extreme cost like Terhune's?
