[quote="fyi"]Letter of Thanks from Sallie & Jackie – Rejay’s Dear Family, Old Friends, New Friends, Neighbors, Fellow Cranburians, and Everyone Who Cared... It has been over 4 months now since the fire at Rejay's Farm, where we lost our home, three of our loving pets, our memories, and our lives as they were. We would not have made it through this tragedy without all of you. Your thoughts and prayers, your donations, gifts, gift cards, clothes, household items, love and support given so generously have been overwhelming and so appreciated. You’ve touched our hearts immensely. We would like to thank Stanley Russo, the Good Samaritan, who stopped when the fire broke and assisted us with getting the dogs out of the house through a window. He then cut a hole in the back screen porch which allowed two of our cats to escape. If it were not for him, all of our pets would have perished in the fire. Mr. Russo also rushed Gizmo to Cranbury Animal Clinic for emergency treatment. He was our angel that day. Thanks to him, our cat Henry, survived the fire and is doing well. We have adopted our new cat, Jada, to help him get over the loss of his siblings. He is doing much better and is no longer crying through the night. We would like to thank our firefighters, police officers, and EMT workers. A special thank you goes to Ryan & Sue, the EMT workers who so graciously transported Gizmo to the Northstar Animal Hospital in Robbinsville, and then checked up on him during his stay there. Their compassion and love for animals shined through that horrible night. A special thanks to Dr. Michael Young from Cranbury Animal Hospital who worked to stabilize Gizmo for transport to the Northstar Animal Hospital. A heartfelt thank you to all the staff at Northstar Vets who did their best in treating Gizmo and keeping him comfortable until he succumbed to lung damage. Their kindness was above and beyond anything we could have expected. The Gizmo donation fund helped us tremendously and we thank all the generous contributors. Thanks to Kathy Easton for bringing our girls (Rozie, Lib by & Lucie) to her house and making sure they were okay. Thanks to Marianne Geer, Steph and the Reilleys, for making sure we had all the necessities we needed our first night. We would also like to thank Christine Ondacin from Gil & Bert's for raising do nations through Facebook and by hosting a bake sale at Gil & Bert's. Children from Silver Dollar Stables baked homemade treats to sell, and Molto Bene donated sandwiches to be sold at the event. Thanks to all of you. We are most grateful and inspired by everyone's generosity and graciousness. We could not mention everyone in this letter, but know you are all in our hearts and we appreciate each and every one of you. Not one day goes by without a caring comment or a hug, a thoughtful bag of clothing put on our porch by a complete stranger. Our hearts are full. Last but not least, a warm and loving thank you to the Reilley family (Denise, Bill, Sean, Devon & Mom) for welcoming us into their home and for making us feel like part of the family. We are so grateful for your kindness and generosity through our stay. We love you guys and hope to keep our friendship growing for the rest of our lives. ... Post subject: Re: Letter of Thanks from Sallie & Jackie – Rejay’s
So glad to hear things are moving toward a new beginning. I can't imagine how devastating this experience was and has been. I am so touched by the generosity of the people who, without a second thought, pitched in to do whatever they could to help this family. It gives me hope that all the good in our society isn't completely lost.
My prayer are with you and I wish you all the best.
