CRANBURY — He's something out of a CSI clip, spending hours in a dim room digging through dental records and X-rays for answers, attempting to identify the missing and forgotten.
"It's a worthwhile endeavor for people who have missing family members," said Stuart Alexander, DMD, a forensic odontologist for the Health and Human Services' Disaster Mortuary Operational Response Team and a consultant for the New Jersey State Police's Office of Forensic Sciences.
Some of the bigger cases for which Alexander has identified remains include victims from the 9/11 World Trade Center collapse, Hurricane Katrina and American Airlines flight 587 crash.
