The pole that was hit was about a half mile south on rt 130 of Old Trenton road. You would think the last thing we need now is having people take out poles! |

Station 48 was dispatched at about 0430 Sunday morning for a reported motor vehicle accident with a vehicle on fire. The vehicle had struck a utility pole, causing a brief power outage to Cranbury residents, and came to rest in the middle of Rt. 130 cathcing fire. The driver was able to remove himself from the vehicle and was transported to an area hospital. Engine 48-1 arrived and quickly extiguished the fire, standing by until it could be removed from the highway. Two additional calls were recieved for fire alarms due to the power outage, one covered by Station 42. Power was quickly restored by PSE&G. |

Yes around 4 this morning went out just for a little bit, back on again and then again it went out for a short time again. We also heard sirens shortly afterwards. |

It happened around 4am. Most people probably won't notice until they check the clock on some household devices (e.g., microwave oven, oven, HDTV, etc.). |
