What I find as disturbing as the article are the comments on it at the NJ.com site. You have the person who blames the victims for "not putting up a fight" and everyone else is waged in a war of words over whether we should have a liberal concealed carry law for guns. No one had anything of concern to say for the victims.
It's funny how stuff like this does not happen in states with loose gun laws. In Nj you can't even defend yourself in your own home. Christie want's to change the gun laws but the idiot liberals will make it hard.
Wow it's like some moron escaped from the institution and spent the afternoon resurrecting old forgotten posts to feed his or her delusions.
I guess the poster doesn't realize that when you make up fact facts it doesn't make their statements any more true.

Is this in a well-to-do neighborhood?
I would think that this was well planned out by somebody who knew what they were after.
I think that robbing poor people would be a waste of time!

Did the robbers know about the safe in the house?
We don't have a safe in the house, have less than $200 cash, and no valuable jewelry. My most valuable assess is the house.
I agree. In a vast majority of cases these robberies are not random. Most people don't have safes in their homes or significant cash or jewelry. Not likely the robbers just got lucky. But that doesn't make the attack any less egregious.

Yup, welcome to the anonymous and nasty world of the internet.

Post subject: West Windsor family is bound, held at gunpoint during home invasion robbery
WEST WINDSOR – Five family members were bound and held at gunpoint late Sunday in a home invasion robbery by four suspects who fled with a safe, police said.
One victim was struck with a handgun during the home invasion, and two teens were among the family members tied up, police said. The robbers, who were armed with guns and knives, escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash and jewelry in the safe and remain at large, police said.
