They committed to the project without a full understanding of the costs and while the County and other sources will contribute some of the money, the Township is ultimately responsible for the open-ended overages from remediation, construction and ongoing operation. If we have future wet springs like this one for example, it the Township will be required to deal with the extra maintanence necessary to preserve the conditions of the playing fields. They are locked into a standard of care required by the Babe Ruth League.[/quote]
