There is a specific definition for an internet Troll. It's usually appropriate to note the behavior when identified since exposing a Troll undermines the destructive behavior since Trolls usually like to post as serious posters and take delight in the outraged or confused responses. They are the internet equivalent of prank callers. Having a opinion is not what makes it trolling. But when the post or reply is intentionally provocative, over-the-top or off-topic, it is often trolling. In this case you challenges made no logical sense, suggesting you had another motivation.
