CRANBURY — The Cranbury School hired Michelle Waldron to be its new vice principal effective July 1.

Ms. Walrdon replaces Christine Capaci, who left to become principal of a school in the West Windsor-Plainsboro school district.

”Michelle Waldron has experience in a small district environment and is very passionate about providing excellent educational opportunities for students,” said Chief School Administrator John Haney. “She has a varied background that matches what we need here in Cranbury.”

Ms. Waldron was a special education teacher for 12 years for grades four through six, worked as an assistant principal in New Hampshire and was principal of a charter school in New Brunswick prior to joining the Cranbury School.

”I’m very much looking forward to working in a collaborative environment and a tightknit community school,” Ms. Waldron said. “I’m looking forward to the challenge of something new because different challenges help me grow professionally.”

Mr. Haney said the school was pleased to have hired Ms. Waldron and that she would bring exactly what the school was looking for when it began the search.
”We’re thrilled to have Michelle because she is a hard working and compassionate individual with a wide range of experience,” Mr. Haney said. “She’ll bring a lot to the school and we’re happy to have her on board with us.”
