Interesting meeting note. Reading between the lines, since this is just a summary, it appears that there was some debate about a tax increase on the TC. It sounds like Mayor Stout wanted a tax increase this year to reduce the use of surplus.
It does not look like the TC simply said no tax increase this year and it is nice to see discussion occur. Now, some may say how can I say it is good that a person advocates for less surplus use and a tax increase. My view is that I think no tax increase is the appropriate course. However, I would want discussion to occur and not a simply okay and move on. |
