Does anyone know why they do not have signs posting the correct speed on a large section of Cranbury Neck Road through Cranbury and Plainsboro?
The result is everyone makes up their own speed. There are clear signs in the 25 MPH section from Main Street to Wynnewood. After that, there is no sign that designates the speed change to 50 MPH that exists from Wynnewood all the wall through Plainsboro until it becomes 40 MPH after the bridge into West Windsor. Yes, technically by law drivers are supposed to know that unmarked rural roads are 50 MPH. But since there were previous signs for the 25 MPG and 40 MPH sections of the road and there is no obvious change in conditions it creates confusion.
The Cranbury and Plainsboro PD's confirm the legal speed is 50 MPH throughout these sections of the roads, but that doesn't help the average driver. |
