Hello Cranbury Residents, As you know the bridge and dam project has been underway for some time. The original duration of the project was to be 300 days. Due to the discovery of a 55 cubic yard cavity under the bridge roadway, there was a delay to the project of about 6 weeks. As its stands we are looking to the second or third week in October for a completion date. Today most of the sub surface infrastructure aspects of the project have been completed. You will now see much more of the above surface details of the project being addressed. The spillway and spillway over look have been completed. The removal of the first portion of the roadbed has been completed in preparation for a completely new surface and sub-surface for the roadbed. The installation of granite curbing has begun on the east side of the bridge. The stone veneering on both sides of the bridge are almost completed. Sidewalks will be laid soon after the roadway has been laid down. Period appropriate street lighting will replace the existing street light scape for additional coverage in areas that are currently dark. As for the lake level, the expectation is for the water level to be raised as the project becomes less involved with below water construction. Our hope is to have the lake raised higher in the next couple of weeks assuming no unforeseen structural issues. I understand the frustration and inconvenience of the bridge and dam project. However we are about to see what will be a great addition to the landscape of Cranbury. I hope you will feel the same way as we get closer to completion in the next four to six weeks. Thank you, David Cook Township Committee
Post subject: Update on the Brainerd Lake Bridge and Dam project
Hello Cranbury Residents,
As you know the bridge and dam project has been underway for some time.
Thank you,
