Real Estate in Mercer and Middlesex counties have only declined 8%. Cranbury is an extremely desireable town, especially for those with school age children. At 649,000, this house is a real bargain.
Adalgo - I am not sure if you have seen this house or not. But the inside and outside needs so much work. At this price anyone who buys this house must just want to be on Main Street. This house is NOT a deal plus the privacy issue, do you really want a bunch of plumbers looking at you all day? A BIG PLUMBING SHOP IS BEHIND IT!!!!!!!
What is wrong with plumbers? Before all the yuppies started invaiding Cranbury, there used to be nothing but regular working class people here and farmers.
Well us "yuppies" who moved here helped this town out tremendously and it is because of us "yuppies" who moved here that you "working" people and "farmers" are still in this town!
Wow, not so sure about that statement. I grew up here as did my parents. I can tell you from the increased housing to losing the apple orchard to the growth in the school and town employees, I am not so sure you've done much other than increase housing costs. Cranbury has always, ALWAYS, had a great school system, a wonderful historic area and it used to be surrounded by open land. To attribute anything to a result of simply new people or "Yuppies" being the driving force are sorrly mistaken and shows a misunderstanding of the Cranbury culture. Our neighbors were teachers, Rutgers professors, lawyers and doctors. We had commutters to New York and people who worked at the local pharmacy and in the local service industry (plumbing, electric, etc...). I find most new people move here for the same reasons that us long term residents stay. Friendly people (for the most part), nice town and parks and small town atmosphere. Our elections are clean, our councils work together despite differing views and we see our neighbors walking, at the library, Teddy's or at Church on Sunday. We know each other and our neighbors will usually look after our home when we're away. The town is a solid one and has a solid foundation.
Wasn't this house just listed last week for $585,000? Its pretty funny how you can take a house off the market and then relist it for 10K more. With this economy I have yet to see anyone doing this.

What? So the couldn't sell the house for about a year or more and then they relisted it 10k higher? That is smart
)
I can't even find the listing anymore!

Is this house under contract? We were interested in it and then were at Teddy's this morning and heard it's under contract?
