wondering

If the Police Department has a traffic counter, why isn't it used then? If it is used why don't we, the residents, know about the results? Could this be used at a few of the "complained about" speeding spots and therefore confirm or deny this "speeding" myth? Does this traffic counter really cost that much money to operate for it not to be used in this manner? Just wondering the answers to these questions.

If I remember correctly I believe the police have a traffic counter that also measures speed of vehicles driving over it. Maybe it could be put on Main Street and we can see what the numbers tell.
I just don't see the speeding in the village area.
During the "rush hours" it's too crowded and at night it's deserted. I guess the occasional car at night might speed?

I recommend those who doubt we having a speeding problem on Main Street to spend an hour or two sitting someone along Main Street and monitoring the traffic. The 'downtown blocks' (between the N side of the Lake to Gil & Berts) may not have a speeding problem. However from Old Trenton Road to the lake and from N of Plainsboro Road to Gil & Berts there is a terrible speeding problem. I live here...I listen to it day & night.
