Thank you Big Boy. I agree and we should all move on. The Fire Company and Squad have done what they can to address the concerns and still provide a safe service. We should all be thankful for their efforts.

Just wanted to convey my sincerest appreciation for addressing the siren issue. I believe Mr. Taylor was the driving force to shorten and change to tone of the sirens. Thank you!

The Squad horn has been reprogrammed to a new tone and shortened to approx 10 blasts...the fire siren has been shortened from 3 minutes to 2 minutes I hope this is the end of it....

Yesterday afternoon I met with the First Aid Squad to discuss the horn. The squad was very understanding of resident concerns and we experimented with a few different alternative tones. As a result, they agreed to make a modification on the horn (the two beep alarm we hear).

1) The two beep horn will go away and be replaced with a different sound. You may have heard it being demoed around 7:15pm last night. (A Whoop sound).

2) The horn will be reduced from its current 2 minutes in length to one minute.

The changes will take about a week to implement due to the need to reprogram the computer and ensure everything works properly. I kindly ask for some patience while the changes are implemented.

The horn and siren are key elements of our public safety program in town.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at jtaylor@cranbury-nj.com.

Thank you,

Jay Taylor
