Yes thank you public works for the collecting the leaves, working the storm drains and putting up the plywood to try and help our homes. This is why we need our PW employees and not some outsourced company.

I really appreciate your hard work and help.

There's a whole lot of big thank yous to Public Works - the leaves on a Saturday, the 500 sand bags prepared and given out to help people prepare, the temporary wall on the road leading back to the soccer fields and the preserves which had been a pathway for the last terrible flooding of houses on Main Street. We hope we wont need but its there in case we do. And we know they will be there if we need them this week when this storm hits. Jerry and his team are always there when we need them with a great "get it done" attitude. Thanks guys.

As of the October 26th Special Weather Statement Hurricane Sandy is forecasted to hit our area between Sunday and Tuesday. The National Weather Service is predicting heavy rainfall with the potential for flooding, damaging winds and possible power outages. Cranbury Township's Public Works and Office of Emergency Management are tracking the storm and are ready to implement their storm action plans.
Residents should also take appropriate preparedness actions now including clearing all storm drains near their property. In an effort to help the residents the Public Works Department has filled sandbags available for residents to pick up on a first come first served basis as well as extra bags that would need to be filled.
