By the way. It is not advocating for more traffic enforcement that is the issue. The officers were doing what they could which is why the Chief and TC hired two new officers to do traffic. There is a difference between complaining about the police and recognizing that they have made an investment to do more enforcement which they are doing because they have the manpower now needed.

Why would anyone would be so negative against our officers in town otherwise? And yes, believe it our not a lot of residents have been ticketed or told not to do things by our officers.

This last comment stating that those advocating for more Traffic Enforcement must have been ticketed or had a run in with Police really shows the greatest ignorance. You figured it all out.

Lol. Seems we have a lot of people who must have been ticketed or had a run in with the police. Most people understand that limited officers mean limited traffic patrols which is why the TC invested in the traffic bureau. What people are applauding is that the traffic patrols work and we’re seeing that return.

But guys keep up your complaints. Makes for an interesting day.

Why are we applauding the police department for doing the job that they have been getting paid to do along. What were the police doing before more officers were hired shouldn’t they have been ticketing speeders before that anyway? If police were out catching speeders instead of sitting at Teddy’s we may not of had to hire more police at a cost to taxpayers.

Lol. Sounds like someone must have gotten a ticket so is deciding to keep complaining. You can’t ignore that it takes money to hire the officers, time to put them through the academy and time to get them set up. The officers who were here were patroling.

Your dismiss fact as complaining. Budgeting and approval, your explanation translates to delay and excuses. Congratulations, it took a year to get for the Taxpayers something they should have had all along, Traffic Speed Control. And perhaps if Cranbury Neck Road were not seen as a place where there is No speed control, there may have been a different outcome. Some things need immediate action, not administrative quicksand.

To complain means you do not understand how budgeting and approval works. Nor would the fatality on Cranbury neck been avoided

I would not applaud the fact that it took a year to enact standard Traffic speed control, a year to get to this point is deplorable. During that year there was a fatality on Cranbury Neck, a crosswalk near miss of a young pedestrian and what else that was not publicized.

All the inefficiencies that were described here were factual. Your tolerance and defense of those inefficiencies is what allowed them to continue, Dont criticize those who call for accountability, they make things happen.

You were told a year ago that there was a plan. That the TC a year ago was hiring more officers and were working to improve the traffic safety. Yet, negative comments about the Police Teddy’s or just Main Street happened. You now are seeing the results of the plan that was enacted.

Comments posted here were not negativity but factual reality. Upsetting to some apparently, but reality, perhaps some of the positive changes were a result of those factual comments alerting to the fact that the public was noticing. Enforcement is now noticeable, lets hope it is not just a temporary show, but a change in long term policy.

I would like to see them concentrate more on Main st, Cranbury neck, and Plainsboro roads. Old Trenton road is a major county road with a ridiculously low speed limit. Furthermore most of the people I see speeding turn into Shadow Oaks.

Agree. Wonderful job. Every day when I take a walk I see officers with someone pulled over. The Chief and TC members a year ago asked for patience and stated a plan was being implemented. So far it looks Lille the plan was a succcess. Despite the negativity voiced here at times about the officers.
