Post subject: Re: Building our new majority
So happy we have two candidates this year that will champion these values for Cranbury

We are excited to bring new candidates to help build our majority on the Cranbury Township Committee this year.
The ideals and progressive change we are bringing to Cranbury are represented by courageous national leaders like Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) who on Tuesday pushed back against Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) for denouncing the global boycott and sanctions movement against Israel during an appearance before the annual American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) conference.

If we fundamentally are going to change Cranbury we also need local progressive democratic leaders to stand up who are inspired by and support Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her “Green New Deal"

Join us and our leader Laura Zurfluh who is the founder of Cranbury Indivisible, a grassroots activist organization with a progressive agenda. Since 2017, she has served as a member of the Cranbury Democratic Committee, spurring the committee to become more publicly active and progressive by making Cranbury more like surrounding communities.

Who are the candidates who have filed to run? Curious on both sides-Dem and Republican...

Anyone who volunteers time should be recognized for that effort. I agree on that point. The issue of concern is that not all Democrats in town agree that our elected TC officials or our elected Democratic party representatives should have an Indivisoble agenda or use their position to be active in progressive causes. Her statement that that is what she is doing and pushing for is the issue for many. If you look at the candidates that filed to run for the TC and democratic committee seats you will see a split.
There are the old school Cranbury values candidates. Those concerned about the community, history, taxes, etc...and the Indivisible candidates those looking to set a progressive agenda and take the TC and Dem committee to a place of being politically active perhaps at the detriment to Cranbury (Indivisible agenda is sanctuary city, legalized sale of marijuana as we saw with Matt Scott’s support, etc..).
It is not an attack. It is a fair question on whether Democrats in Cranbury support the Indivisible agenda she in her own words and actions advocates for Cranbury. Perhaps I am wrong and a minority Dem in that I do not support that agenda. It could be more Dems in town do support the actions Laura is taking. But, it is not an attack. If someone becomes political and you disagree with the position then it is fair to question it.

It is mentioned she started Indivisble, is a member of the cranbury democratic Committee which is the elected group of democratic leaders and by her statement is making the committee more politically active.
I think some mean spirited people just want to find ways to trash people on this website. Anyone is fair game and everyone is a target. It’s mean spirited, and a colossal waste of time. Why complain about someone volunteering their time as Laura does? Every week there seems to be a different person you all malign. It’s mean behavior. Shame!

That part is not a troll unless the News site is fake news.

Can someone please tell me what Indivisible stands for in Cranbury? I really want fair and inclusive government but I also want people to stop whining and take control of their lives and not expect to have every tiny thing that bothers them be made into a federal case. We all need to not let the hate and disparities from the past control our lives today. We all just need to follow the Golden Rule-------------

Well. I would say this is a Troll, but what is posted was written in the link and the bio most often comes from the person who is speaking. Further, with Matt and Mike we can see that the candidates on the Dem side are more left leaning and we see their opposition to Jay last election and Glenn this of two really center oriented people.
Funny enough what the article states about the Democratic committee which is the leaders of the Dem party in town being more active and part of Indivisible has been shot down here as trolling. I guess it isn’t.
