Post subject: Finding something sweet on Cranbury Main Street
Cranbury Delights pastry shop opens
CRANBURY — A Linzer cookie filled with natural strawberry preserves and drenched in rich, imported German chocolate.
For Cranbury residents, this is simply a popular new treat. But at Cranbury Delights, a new pastry shop on Main Street, it's the top-selling item and an indication that business is already booming.
Word about the cookie, which owners Steven and Agnes Toth, of Newportville, Pa., recently named The Cranbury Cookie, has been spreading "like rapid fire," Mr. Toth said Monday, which marked the three-week anniversary of the store's Nov. 27 opening.
And the Cranbury Cookie, is just one of its many popular items, including walnut cakes, lemon cakes, raspberry dream cakes, chocolate snowball cakes, chocolate-drizzled croissants, fresh muffins, imported candy, Hawaiian coffee, herbal teas, Hungarian salami and international, gourmet cheeses.
"We've been doing catering," said Ms. Toth said. "So, everybody was asking about us opening a shop. But we've been waiting for the right time."
