Post subject: Three seats open on Cranbury board
School board race shapes up
Nomination petitions are not due until the end of February, but already one of the three three-year seats on the school board will need to be filled with a new face.
Board member Adam Hawes said he will not run for a third term, while Joan Weidner and Julie Hardaker say they're planning to run for re-election.
"I would really like to say I am going to run," said Mr. Hawes, who currently serves as the Princeton Regional School District liaison. "It's great people to work with both at Princeton and Cranbury. But my work time and family time doesn't allow me to do it anymore."
Elections will be held April 17.
Ms. Weidner said she would like to stay on the board to continue improving the school and to work with the board on filling important faculty and administrative positions with the right people for the jobs.
