Post subject: Petty bridge awaits repairs
Cranbury may have to fix the damaged Petty Road Bridge on its own.
That's because Plainsboro officials plan to repair their side of the bridge on their own, saying the damage done by the April 15 nor'easter to the Plainsboro side was not extensive.
The bridge connects Petty Road in Cranbury to Petty Road in Plainsboro.
Cranbury officials are estimating that bridge repairs will cost about $58,000.
Township Administrator Tom Witt said earlier this week that he plans to discuss the bridge repairs with Plainsboro before proceeding to determine if the costs can be shared and how they would be divided.
"We're working with the county and Plainsboro to resolve the issue," he said.
