Post subject: Thank you Cranbury for taking the time to vote
For those of you who may not have gone to my web site after the election, I want to take this opportunity to thank the town for showing its support of me to serve on Township Committee. For an "off year" election, we say a nearly 40 percent turnout with @85 people taking the opportunity to submit absentee ballots to make certain they got their vote in.
As I said on my web site, I want to thank each of you who opened your homes to me to tell me your thoughts and to ask me about my capabilities to serve you. I thank those who donated time and money to the campaign and those who offered to host signs to show your support and to remind people to visit my web site and to vote. I had several thousand visits to my web site and many communications and this again shows a real desire on the part of Cranbury residents to be informed before making a choice.
While the campaigning was challenging, I recognize that the real challenge starts now. I ask very sincerely that you continue to stay in touch and make certain I have the facts I need to represent your concerns. I will keep my web site up at least until January as a vehicle to contact me. I will also post my Cranbury contact information here on this forum and on my web site a soon as it is set up. Moving forward, I ask that if you want to reach me, the best way will be directly. I will respect your privacy but it will help to know who you are.
I also want to thank my opponent, Karen Callahan for her efforts and a well run campaign. I am confident that we will see more of her involvement going forward, as she truly cares about our community and has much to offer. You had a choice between two people committed to Cranbury and I am humbled by your support. Thank you
