Winter storm warning impacting NJ, Sunday until Tuesday - major snow accumulations expected
Cranbury Police / OEM have been monitoring this major snow storm that is expected to affect our area beginning Sunday evening until Tuesday afternoon. Snow accumulations are predicted to be from 11 to 15 inches.
Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commutes.
If you must travel, keep extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. Call 5 1 1 for the latest roadway conditions.
Heavy wind is expected with this storm. Avoid downed wires and branches. Be prepared now for power outages. Charge up your cell phones. Report power outages to your local power company. Call 1-888-LIGHTSS (JCP&L) or for PSE&G text OUT to 4PSEG.
Again, avoid DOWNED power lines, stay at least 30 feet away and immediately call 911 to report them.
* Our local public works personnel will be working hard throughout the storm clearing snow. RECYCLING PICKUP is cancelled for tomorrow and rescheduled for Saturday, February 6th.
Stay Safe,
Michael J. Owens
