Ok. That makes sense. I do see a lot of trees that have been eaten now that I look back there. It only appears as though the damage is contained very close to the river. To the other poster, the deer will not be a problem, They can jump over 8 feet from a stand still. The rodents however, that would not be very good to have an abundance of them. Was the state office of Fish and Game notified about the problem before action was taken? It is on one side. It was stated that they spoke with the state division of wildlife and this was suggested as a way to deal with the beavers and not have to catch and remove them or harm other wild life. They only travel a certain distance and won't go around the fence. It seems that if you fence out the fox or other natural predators, the rodent population may boom. How will the rabbits be able to get into the field to naturally graze? Will deer get tangled in this fence?
