Post subject: Teddy 50's/60's Music Night
Went to Teddy's last Friday night to check out the 50's and 60's music night, and had a fabulous time. The DJ was great as he spun his playlist. Everyone got involved especially when he threw in "Sweet Caroline". It was absolutely great to hear those old songs again.
The DJ treated the crowd to Doo-Wop, Motown, and everything in between. All the original songs were played. In front of Teddy's was a line of classic cars that brought back so many memories. They certainly added a nice touch. The restaurant windows were all decorated with memorabilia and lots of folks were checking them out. I thought the records, hung from the beams, also added a nice touch.
Everyone got a super treat as there were three special guests in the audience. The DJ introduced two guys from 50's doo-wop groups (Vito & the Salutaions and Lonnie & the Carollons), who had regional hits. However, the big surprise came when Joe Long (Joe LaBracio), a former member of the Four Seasons, was introduced. Joe was with the Seasons eleven years. It was great to see him person.
Anyway ... the food was great, the audience bonded, nostalgia filled the room, and the night ended much too soon.
Were you there that night? If so, I'm curious what you thought of the event .... I for one, wish Teddy's would do this again!
