They are not building a lot specifically for a library. <br /> <br />The TC has stated they support a library provided the costs are fully raised by donations and the library can prove it can cover the costs. <br /> <br />As the prior poster stated the library is independent of the town with their own regulations and board policy. <br /> <br />Taxes and funding are from the state. The library this year asked for funds beyond that level and the TC and Mayor denied additional funding as the library has a surplus. <br /> <br />I don't see where the Mayor and TC are to blame. They have stated the same position over and over.
