Water. Two gallons of water per person, per day (drinking and hygiene). A one week supply of water is suggested. <br /> <br />2. Food. Enough to last one week unless otherwise advised. <br /> <br />3. Medicine, oxygen and medical supplies. Enough to last at least one week unless otherwise advised. Seek your doctor’s advice. <br /> <br />4. Portable radio, flashlights and batteries. <br /> <br />5. Pet supplies. <br /> <br />6. Transportation. Make sure your vehicle is in working order in the event you must evacuate the area. <br /> <br />If possible, have a plan to leave the area and stay with friends or relatives. Every disaster is different and requires a unique response.
