Post subject: Anyone related to Penelope Stout?
A friend of mine who lives in Monmouth County just told me today that she is related to Penelope Stout, and she has a family tree to prove it.
Penelope Stout lived in the house which is also known as The Spy House. A famous house near the Jersey shore.
I noticed that there were some Stouts in Cranbury, and I assumed that there may be some sort of connection. Penny had a LOT of ancestors, so anything is possible. I just found her to be a fascinating historical figure who lived in an historic area.
The Spy House has been closed for years due to renovations, hopefully, we can get in there and have a look around soon.
Some Stouts also founded Hopewell N.J.
Interesting story.
