This is very positive and will cause a disruption for a minimum amount of time. My guess is in a few months a visitor to town won't even notice its a new house and we will all move on to another subject. I hope after the "Dust settles" the nay sayers will come around to peaceful acceptance of their new neighbor.

There is likely exactly one unhappy poster here trashing it.

Parking is not the issue right now and "was not written about", it is the blatant disregard of our town and streetscape by people who have millions of dollars who think they can just move in and tell us what they are going to do, and then our HPC and zoning say oh yes, you are more important than all of the hard work that volunteers have put in to protect our town from people like you.

I attended the PB meetings and at no time was sharing of the lot discussed nor could it have been since the PB cannot tell one property owner to share their land with another.

Look back in time at the beautiful homes that were torn down to make a parking lot!!!! Anything is better than colonial blacktop. And what makes you feel so strongly and defensive about this house? Not just "anything" is better than a parking lot, at least the parking lot was not intrusive, and it was useful. Stand in the lot behind the house and look down the side of it at the juxtaposition of the tiny Main St. house across the street, and then tell us again that you think it fits perfectly in our town.

I suspect they will plant a bunch of trees on that side after it's done to block it from the driveway once they mature and eventually you'll barely perceive the house from the side.
