If the caller is someone who needs to talk to you they will leave a message, otherwise the robo-calls just move to the next number.

But I feel badly for the small % of times where someone falls for it and is exploited. Same with the IRS scam calls, grand-parent calls, etc. The problem is that the numbers are often spoofed, so they are hard to trace. You'd think with some work they'd be traceable, but for reasons i don't fully understand they are not.

anon-pq8q	Posted: Fri, Jul 1 2016, 5:05 pm EDT    Post subject: "PC" scam calls I have been getting scam calls from (609) 104-0506 re: the "Help Desk" to fix my computer. It is a known scam where they will ask you to get remote access to the computer, then they install a virus and they will charge you a few hundred dollar via checking account transfer to take it off. At least that is the way it happened with an elderly friend of mine. Anything that can be done about this criminal behavior? If that number is reported to the police, can they investigate further? Since it is a 609 number. ???
